When you stop renting a property, move its listing to the trash. It leaves your booking site and your lists, its past bookings stay in your records, and you can restore it later exactly as it was.
Only owners and admins can move listings to the trash and restore them.
To take a listing off your booking site for a while (over the winter, say), set its Status to Archived instead. It stays in your lists and you can make it Active again at any time.

Before you start

  • The listing can’t have a guest staying or a booking still to come. Cancel those bookings first, or wait until the last stay is over. Cancelled bookings don’t count.

Move a listing to the trash

1

Open the listing

Go to Listings and open the listing.
2

Move it to the trash

Click the ⋯ menu next to its name and choose Move to trash. Confirm. If the listing still has a current or upcoming booking, Overviu refuses and says so: “This listing has current or upcoming bookings. Cancel or move them first.”
A building goes to the trash with all its unit types, and Overviu checks the bookings of every unit type first. A unit type can’t go to the trash on its own: remove its units on the building’s Units tab instead.

What happens to a trashed listing

  • It leaves your booking site straight away.
  • Its past bookings stay. They still open from Bookings and still count in your reports.
  • Calendar sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo stops both ways: Overviu stops reading their calendars, and its own calendar link for the listing stops working. Remove the listing or its calendar connection on those sites too.
  • Its units no longer count toward your plan.

Restore a listing

1

Open the trash

Go to Listings and choose Trashed in the status filter. Each listing shows when it was trashed.
2

Restore it

Click Restore. The listing comes back exactly as it was, with its status, prices and photos. A building comes back with the unit types that went to the trash with it.
Restoring is refused if the listing’s units would take your team over its plan’s limit. Upgrade the plan or trash another listing first. A restored listing’s calendar sync starts again, but the booking sites stopped reading Overviu’s calendar while it was in the trash. Check the connection on each site; see Calendar sync.
