With your own Claude (Anthropic) or OpenAI API key, the Dashboard gets a chat where you can ask about your own data: “Who arrives tomorrow and hasn’t finished online check-in?”, “How many nights did we book last month?”, “Which listing earns the most per night?”. Answers link to the bookings, listings and reports they come from. The chat only looks things up. It can’t change bookings, calendars or messages.

Add your key

Owners and admins add the key once for the team.
1

Get a key

Create an API key with Anthropic or OpenAI. Usage is billed to that account, not by Overviu.
2

Open Settings → AI

Open the user menu → Settings → AI.
3

Save it

Pick the Provider, paste the API key, choose a Model (Standard, or Faster and cheaper) and click Save. Overviu checks the key with the provider before saving it, and tells you if it doesn’t work (for example when the account has no credit left).
The key is stored encrypted and only its start and last four characters are shown again. Click Remove key to turn the chat off.

What is sent

Your questions, and the data needed to answer them, go to the provider with your key: guest names, stays, listings, prices and statuses. Guest emails, phone numbers and messages are never sent.

Ask

On the Dashboard, type your question under Ask about your data and press Enter, or pick a suggested question. While the answer is written, the chat shows what it’s looking up.
  • Your chats are saved for you in this team. Other members can’t see them. Open one from Recent chats, or delete it there.
  • Click New chat to start over.
  • Members can use the chat too, but it gives them no money figures, as on the screens.
  • To stop a runaway, each person can ask 60 questions an hour.
Answers can be wrong. Check the pages they link to before acting on a number.

What it costs

Settings → AI shows this month’s questions and an estimate of what they cost, worked out from the tokens each answer used. Your provider’s bill is the real figure.
