This page takes you from a new account to a listing guests can book on your own booking site. Each step links to its full guide when you want more detail.
Only owners and admins can change the booking site, branding and payment settings. When you sign up, you’re the owner of your first team.

Before you start

  • An Overviu account. Signing up creates your first team, named after you, with a 14-day free trial.
  • For online payments: a Stripe account. You can skip this and add it later.

Steps

Name your team

Everything in Overviu belongs to a team: listings, bookings, guests and settings. Open the user menu → Settings → Teams, open your team, change the Team name to your business name and click Save.
The team name sets your booking site’s address (for example sea-view-villas.overviu.app). Renaming the team later changes that address, and links you’ve already shared stop working.

Add your listing

Go to Listings → Add listing. Under What are you listing? choose A single property (a house, villa or apartment let as a whole) or A building with units (apartments or rooms let separately). Fill in the Public title guests will see, an optional Nickname for your team, and the Property type, then click Create listing.The listing opens on its Details tab. Under Basics, set Maximum guests, Bedrooms, the Currency and the Timezone, then click Save basics. See Create a listing.

Set prices and the minimum stay

Open the listing’s Pricing tab. Under Base pricing, enter the Nightly rates for each day of the week and click Save base rates.Then open the Availability tab, set the Default minimum stay (nights) and click Save defaults. See Prices and stay rules.

Publish the listing

New listings start as Draft, which guests can’t see. On the Details tab, under Basics, change Status to Active and click Save basics. The listing now appears on your booking site.

Connect Stripe (optional)

To take card payments online, go to Settings → Payments and connect your own Stripe account: your Secret key, your Publishable key and the Webhook signing secret of the webhook you create in Stripe. Guests pay you directly; Overviu never holds your money.Then choose how guests pay on the listing’s Pricing tab, under Payment → When does the guest pay?. See Connect Stripe and How guests pay.
Without Stripe, leave the listing on Guest pays at check-in (no online payment). If a listing asks for payment online and Stripe isn’t connected, guests can’t book it: the booking site tells them the host hasn’t set up online payments yet.

Make the booking site yours

In Settings → Branding, choose your Primary colour, Font and Logo, and click Save. In Settings → Booking site, add your Contact email and Contact phone so guests can reach you. See Branding and Set up your booking site.

Share your booking site

Your booking site’s address is shown in Settings → Domains under Managed subdomain: your-team.overviu.app. Put it on your website, your social profiles and the messages you send to past guests. You can also use your own domain.

Get your first booking

When a guest books, the booking appears in Bookings and on the Calendar, and your team gets a New booking email (who gets it).
  • If the guest paid online, the booking is Confirmed straight away.
  • If they pay at check-in, the booking is Pending until you open it and click Confirm booking.

What happens next

For owners and admins, the Dashboard shows a getting-started checklist (add a listing, set prices and publish it, connect Stripe, get your first booking) until your team’s first booking arrives. After that it shows the day ahead: arrivals, departures and anything that needs your attention.
