Your booking site always works at your-team.overviu.app. You can also put it on your own domain, like book.your-domain.com or www.your-domain.com, so guests book on an address they know. Overviu sets up the secure (https) certificate for you.
Only owners and admins can add or change domains.

Before you start

  • A domain you own, and access to its DNS settings at your domain provider or registrar.
  • Choose a subdomain or www.: book.your-domain.com or www.your-domain.com. A bare domain like your-domain.com (an apex domain) isn’t supported.

Steps

1

Add the domain

Go to Settings → Domains. Under Custom domains, type the domain, like bookings.your-domain.com, and click Add domain.
2

Add the DNS records

Overviu shows the records to add (click View DNS records to see them again):
  • a CNAME record that points your domain at Overviu;
  • a TXT (ownership verification) record that proves the domain is yours.
Add both at your DNS provider, with the Name and Value exactly as shown.
3

Wait for verification

Overviu checks every few minutes. The domain moves from Pending DNS to Pending SSL while the certificate is issued, then to Connected. DNS changes can take a few minutes, sometimes longer, to spread; click Verify now to check straight away.
4

Make it the primary domain

Once it’s Connected, click Set as primary. Overviu then uses it in every link it sends: guests’ booking pages, emails and the getting-started checklist.

What happens next

  • Your booking site works on the new domain, and on your-team.overviu.app too.
  • A domain that fails shows Failed with the reason. Fix the DNS records and click Verify now.
  • You can add up to 5 custom domains.

Remove a domain

Click Remove next to it. If it was the primary domain, links go back to your overviu.app address. Remove the DNS records at your provider too.
