# Team and roles

> Invite your co-hosts and cleaners, choose what each can see and do, and work across several teams.

Everything in Overviu belongs to a team. Invite the people you work with, give each a role, and they see the same listings, calendar, bookings and inbox as you.

## Roles

| | Owner | Admin | Member |
| - | - | - | - |
| Listings, calendar, bookings, inbox, messages | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Charge, refund and record payments on a booking | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| API tokens | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Reports and the money on the dashboard | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Move listings to the trash and restore them | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Settings: **Domains**, **Branding**, **Booking site**, **Coupons**, **Payments** | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Rename the team, invite people, cancel invitations | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Change roles and remove members | ✓ | | |
| Plan and billing | ✓ | | |
| Delete the team | ✓ | | |

Each team has one owner: the person who created it.

<Warning>Members can charge and refund guests from a booking, and create API tokens that read and change the team's bookings. Give the Member role only to people you trust with that.</Warning>

## Invite someone

<Note>Only owners and admins can invite people.</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your team">
    Open the user menu → **Settings** → **Teams**, and open the team.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite">
    Click **Invite member**. Enter their **Email address**, pick a **Role** (**Admin** or **Member**) and click **Send invitation**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="They accept">
    They get an email with a link. They sign in, or create an account, with the same email address, and join the team. The invitation expires after 3 days.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Invitations not yet accepted are under **Pending invitations**. **Cancel invitation** withdraws one.

## Change a role or remove someone

<Note>Only the owner can change roles and remove members.</Note>

Under **Team members**, change a person's role, or choose **Remove member**. A removed member loses access to the team straight away; their past work, like notes and recorded payments, stays.

## Work across several teams

You can belong to several teams, for example your own rentals and a client's. Switch with the team switcher at the top of the sidebar: everything you see then belongs to that team.

To start another team, open the team switcher or **Settings** → **Teams**, click **New team**, give it a **Team name** and click **Create team**. You're its owner, and it has its own plan, listings, Stripe account and booking site.

## Rename or delete a team

* **Rename**: change the **Team name** and click **Save**. Renaming changes your booking site's `overviu.app` address; see [Your booking site](/booking-site/set-up#its-address).
* **Delete**: only the owner can **Delete team**, after typing its name to confirm. It can't be undone. The team you got when you signed up can't be deleted.
